Much more eco friendly then plastic straws and last several hours in water without falling apart...they only last maybe an hour in soda or juice but no problem if your just sipping away at ice water or finish a beverage in an hour. I haven't found any paper straw's though that last long in soda or juice well...kinda says something about the ingredients of the beverage though.
